ABOUT

Even as a child, I often felt overwhelmed and lost in a world that is primarily controlled by reason and intellect. School was more of a torture, the way I asserted myself in society was often times confusing until I understood that there was more (for me) than what we obviously see and do here. That I am more. Finally, an answer.

Our body is not »just« a body, it is our home and gateway to a wide world, between inside and outside.

As a photographer and in yoga, my aim is to broaden the perspective and make being tangible and livable to finally remember who we really are.

MY YOGA STYLES & CLASSES

HATHA / VINYASA

Coming from Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga, my style is a kind of hatha flow. It is not as static as classic hatha yoga, but also not as dynamic as typical vinyasa classes. Through activation and conscious breathing, we use dynamic, powerful movements to get the energy flowing and then dive deeper into static postures to meet ourselves in the practice and return to ourselves.

With great care and dedication, I tailor each of my classes individually to the moment and the students in order to meet everyone where they are and give them the opportunity to deepen their yoga practice.

BECOMINGME YOGA

BECOMINGME YOGA offers an intensive, free and focused yoga practice to build inner strength, personal growth and new energy.

Through dynamic movements, sweating and active breathing, you meet yourself and enter into a self-awareness with the only person who really stands in our way - ourselves.

The system was developed by Robert Ehrenbrand, based on his intensive involvement with yoga, music, martial arts and meditation.

YIN YOGA

Yin yoga is a form of hatha yoga in which we immerse ourselves more deeply in the postures through time and dedication. The asanas are held for 3 - 5 minutes, sometimes supported by aids.

In contrast to restorative yoga, in yin yoga we not only seek pure release, but also a gentle confrontation with (old) tensions and tightness with a mixture of interest, care and mindfulness. We lean into letting go. This way of practicing allows us to expand our range of movement and penetrate the deeper layers of our being.

MY PHILOSOPHY // WHAT I BELIEVE IN

»Fellow your own path, but know that you are not the center of the universe« - the danger I see today in the western world and how we practice yoga is that we take ourselves too seriously. That we only revolve around ourselves, that we want to optimize and analyze ourselves. - Taking (even in yoga practice) and not being willing to give. But that is NOT yoga.

Yoga is about finding unity between body, mind, and soul. And yes, this requires intense self-reflection and examination of your life. Really knowing yourself is essential, but ultimately it is about serving as part of the greater whole. Yoga is not just about practicing asanas; this is only one step on the long and intense path of yoga, as described by Patanjali.

It's about making ourselves strong so that the body is stable and healthy and the mind can be calm and clear. Only then is it possible to connect and open up to 'the higher self', whatever you may call it. This is the real goal of yoga, the connection to our higher self.

On my own yoga path, I follow what shows itself to me and what resonates with my body and my whole being - this has helped me to deepen my practice and to follow exactly this larger goal. Because even though I teach different styles of yoga and don't strictly follow one style, all these different teaching styles have a common root: they are deeply rooted in the philosophy of yoga and the ancient scriptures and are all the same.

RETREAT – WILDERNESS WITHIN

Ricarda and I would like to invite you to our Yogaretreat in Brandenburg at beautiful HAVEN from March 5 - 8, 2026. In keeping with International Women's Day, we will dedicate ourselves to our feminine side and celebrate in community this energy that is inherent in all of us.

YOGA AM TEUTE – Pop-up room for yoga

Yoga am Teute is my small but very nice yoga pop up room right in the heart of Berlin—at Teutoburger Platz. That's where the name comes from, because the locals affectionately call the square »Teute«.

Every Tuesday evening and Thursday morning, we practice yoga here in small groups. So if you prefer to practice yoga in a personal atmosphere and a small group, this is the place for you.

In our fast-paced world, where we are bombarded with information and news but spend most of our time sitting down, moving the body and returning to our own breathing is essential in order to be able to think more clearly and focus again.
